Broad Appetit
Lorem Ipsum Foodipsum
For the 5th Anniversary of Broad Appétit, event stakeholders asked INM how we could improve the experience of attendees through digital. This one day event had grown quickly over the previous 4 years, with estimated attendance over 10,000.
A secondary concern, the project required a timeline under three weeks with limited bandwidth among other agency projects.
Building a mobile website with HTML5 and Javascript allowed access by all smartphone users while retaining a native App feel. The two biggest site features would include mobile voting for the People’s Choice Award, and enhancing the map with interactive vendor booths. We also built a custom web form emailed and filled in by vendors to create the database of profiles. The design was developed in rapid iterations of build and testing, among a team of 4 over three days. The database of vendors had to be stitched in less than 24 hours before the event.

3200+ visits on event day, averaging 6 pages per visit. At an event where attendees are only focused on their stomachs, over 15% hit the mobile site to learn more about vendors or vote for their favorite dish. The People’s Choice Award garnered an unprecedented number of votes, while adding a new level of security by limiting votes to 1 per device.
“Absolutely amazing! [The site] was a fabulous addition to the event and again, I can’t thank you enough for pulling it off.”
